Just finished the literary work of Shashi Tharoor, namely ‘The Great Indian Novel’. Indeed a masterpiece.
The author has wonderfully correlated the story of Mahabharat with the modern Indian history, taking the analogy between the characters of the epic with the personalities of India. The author has done a good deal in establishing the chemistry of the plot. Its no child’s play and it shows the author’s immense understanding of the Indian politics and society.
Now I am compelled to think that India is not an underdeveloped country, but its a highly developed country, at the advanced state of decay.
Finally, it justifies its title.
